Keeping documents for a company being liquidated
The business ends. The duty to keep the documents remains.
Day-to-day work ends, but accounting and other documents still need to be kept after the company has been closed. The documents must be placed in storage, and their retention must be ensured for ten years as a rule, unless the law provides otherwise.
How Infore handles it
We take the documents into storage and keep them securely in the Infore digital archive. We keep the documents findable and release them to entitled persons. When the retention period ends, we arrange for the documents to be destroyed in accordance with the contract and legal requirements.
How does the service work?
1. We map the retention need
We identify the types of documents that need to be kept, their retention periods and volumes.
2. We sign the agreement and arrange the handover
We agree the terms of the service and take the documents over securely in digital form. If the digitisation service is ordered, we also digitise paper documents.
3. Retention in line with the requirements
We store the documents securely for the whole agreed period and keep them findable and available to entitled persons.
4. Secure destruction
After the retention period ends, we arrange secure destruction of the documents in accordance with the contract and legal requirements.
